This story just gets weirder and weirder. We live in the suburbs of Southern California, right on the edge of nature. Lots of wildlife surrounds us, including deer, coyotes, rattlesnakes, mountain lions, and bears. Recently, the city tagged one of the trees on our property has dying, so it had to be cut down before it fell on someone’s property. It’s a shame, because it’s a big old pine tree that could be a hundred years old for all I know. We finally had a service come out and fell it, before it posed further danger to the community. What we found at the top of this majestic old tree surprised us. It was an eagle’s nest. Fortunately, there were no birds living it it, or else I would’ve felt horrible. But we were shocked to see what the nest was constructed out of. Some twigs, sticks, and pieces of fabric. When we unfurled one we realized the cloth was indeed a pair of girls capri leggings like this one. Capri leggings are very popular in our household. We have three girls, and between them, we could own at least a dozen capris.
I guess what happened was one of the girls left their capri leggings in the backyard to dry, and a hawk or something swooped in and carried it off to make it their own. How cool is that?! We helped out the local fauna with our clothes. My youngest girl took advantage of this situation by saying the capri leggings were hers, and that I would have to buy her some new ones to replace the ones that the animal carried off. So off we went to the computer to do a search for capri leggings for girls on Google. One of the top hits was a really cute store called TwirlyGirl. They have a terrific and unique assortment of girls capri leggings, as well as other clothes including dresses, skirts, tops, shirts, skorts, and jackets. Instantly, my little girl fell in love with their styles and picked out her favorite leggings. She wanted to buy more but I told her that would have to wait until her birthday or Christmas… or until the local government ordered us to chop down the oak tree in our backyard. LOL!
I wanted to share with you a picture of the capri leggings that my girl purchased, but I can’t figure out how to do that on this blog. Oh wait. Maybe this will work. If not, I’ve included a link that will take you to their website so that you can easily see for yourself. Hey, if they are good enough for a falcon to steal, then they’re good enough for my girls, right? Have fun! Click on this and you will be taken to their site.
